Rob grew up in Bridgwater, Somerset, England. He started boxing at the age of 14 at his local community center. Rob seemed to have a natural aptitude for boxing and had his first fight within three months, which he won. He was both a junior and senior champion and went on to become a British heavyweight champion, boxing for England in Europe. At 24 Rob moved to Sydney Australia and began acting classes in the late nineties after being dragged along by a girlfriend. He studied at various acting academies in and around Sydney, including the famed Sydney Actors Centre. His career began though in 2001 with various guest roles in Australian soaps, dramas and films, though his Irish/American accent has sometimes made it difficult for him to get local work. A career highlight came with his role as the Bank Gunner in Superman Returns, in which he gets to shoot Superman in the eye with a hand gun after earlier trying to annihilate him with the worlds biggest Gattling Gun, Robs villainous roles continued in the X-MEN prequel Wolverine, trying to run down a motorcycle riding Hugh Jackman with a machine gun laden Hummer.
